PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN AUDIT BERBASIS EKSPEKTASI MAHASISWA DAN RELEVANSI INDUSTRI DI ERA DIGITAL

Abstract


This study aims to reconstruct the internal quality audit instrument in higher education by harmonizing the expectations of prospective students (Generation Z) with institutional standards. The background of this research is the widening gap between conventional audit standards—which focus on administrative compliance—and the pragmatic needs of students regarding industry relevance. Using a mixed-method approach, this study analyzes survey data from 507 respondents regarding interests in new study programs (Entrepreneurship, Digital Business, IT, Digital PR, and DKV). The findings reveal a significant gap: 61.3% of respondents prioritize the availability of business mentors over academic degrees, and 60.5% prefer project-based learning over theory. Based on this Gap Analysis, this study proposes a Feed-Forward Career Validation Mechanism and a New Audit Instrument Matrix that converts student preferences into measurable quality indicators. The conclusion suggests that Higher Education Quality Assurance must shift from Compliance-Based to Relevance-Based to ensure graduates' employability in the digital era.
