Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the deposit interest rate on the amount of deposit funds during 2015-2020 at PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara Main Branch Office.

The analytical tool used in this research is simple linear regression. This analysis tool is used to test the effect of the deposit interest rate on the amount of deposit funds in PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara, Samarinda Main Branch Office.

The results of the research show that the variable deposit interest rate has a positive and significant effect on the variable amount of time deposits. This result means the deposit rate is a variable that influences the customer's decision to choose a time deposit at PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara which is represented by the amount of time deposit funds. existing at PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara.

In general, with attractive interest rates in the art of high interest rates, customers tend to choose time deposits at PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara. Customers tend to prefer shorter term deposits, so the management of PT BPD Kaltim Kaltara can make decisions about the future interest rates offered for shorter term deposits in order to attract more customers
