PENGARUH CASH HOLDING, PROFITABILITAS DAN NILAI PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP INCOME SMOOTHING PADA SUBSEKTOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE YANG TERDAFTAR DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the influence of cash holding, profitability, and company value on income smoothing in the Food and Beverage subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2023.

The theory used is financial management, especially with cash holding, profitability, company value and income smoothing. The population and sample in this study are Food and Beverage Subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2023, namely with a population of 95 companies with a sample of 37 companies using the purposive sampling method. The analysis tool used is SPSS version 29 using logistic regression analysis.

The results of this study show that (1) Cash Holding has a positive and significant effect on Income Smoothing (2) Profitability has a negative and significant effect on Income Smoothing (3) Company value has a negative and significant effect on Income Smoothing (4) Cash Holding, Profitability (ROA), and Company Value (PBV) simultaneously have a significant effect
