PENGARUH STRES KERJA DAN LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA DRIVER GOJEK SAMARINDA

Abstract


Gojek's company performance is highly dependent on the quality of its drivers, who play an important role in meeting mobility needs and contributing to customer comfort. A driver's performance can be affected by the level of work stress they experience, and this can have a negative impact on their psychological condition. A supportive work environment and open and clear communication between drivers can help reduce work stress and driver performance can be more optimal. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine and analyze the influence of work stress on the performance of Gojek Samarinda driver employees. 2) To find out and analyze the influence of the work environment on the performance of Gojek Samarinda drivers. 3) To find out and analyze the influence of work stress and the work environment simultaneously on the performance of Gojek Samarinda drivers.

This research uses human resource management theory, especially work stress, work environment, performance. This research was conducted only on Gojek Samarinda drivers. The research was conducted from January - May 2024. The sample taken was 140 respondents using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques use field research and library research. Data collection by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale to measure each indicator. The analytical tool in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis.

The research results show that: 1) Work stress has a significant effect on the performance of Gojek Samarinda drivers because drivers experience various forms of work stress, such as the pressure to complete many orders in a limited time which can cause physical and mental fatigue for drivers. 2) The work environment has a significant effect on the performance of Gojek Samarinda drivers because the work environment of Gojek drivers shows positive interactions between drivers. 3) Work stress and the work environment simultaneously influence the performance of Gojek Samarinda drivers because work stress can disturb drivers when carrying out their duties which has a negative impact on their psychological condition and decreases their performance. Therefore, a supportive work environment and open and clear communication between drivers can help reduce work stress and driver performance can be more optimal
