ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the efficiency of the use of working capital of PT. Pupuk Kaltim Bontang in 2018 – 2020 when measured by cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, working capital turnover.

The analytical tool used in this research is the activity ratio or working capital ratio consisting of cash turnover, receivable turnover, inventory turnover, and working capital turnover.

The results of the analysis presented can be seen that: 1. The use of working capital PT. Pupuk Kaltim Bontang when measured by cash turnover in 2018, 2019, and 2020 has increased from year to year and is in accordance with the industry average so that the first hypothesis is accepted. 2. The use of working capital of PT. Pupuk Kaltim Bontang when measured by receivables turnover in 2018, 2019, and 2020 has increased from year to year but has not yet reached the industry average so the second hypothesis is rejected. 3. The use of working capital of PT. Pupuk Kaltim Bontang when measured by inventory turnover in 2018, 2019, and 2020 did not reach the industry average so the third hypothesis was rejected. 4. The use of working capital of PT. Pupuk Kaltim Bontang when measured by inventory turnover in 2018, 2019, and 2020 there was only one year that reached the industry average, so the fourth hypothesis was rejected.
