Abstract


This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of education and training on employee performance at the Office of the Civil Service Agency and Human Resources Development of Samarinda City. The theoretical basis used in this study includes human resource management, education, training and employee performance.

This research was conducted only on employees at the Office of the Civil Service Agency and Human Resources Development of Samarinda City. The sample taken was 100 respondents with the census technique. Data collection techniques using google forms with Likert scale techniques to measure each indicator. The analytical tool in this study uses multiple linear regression analysis.

The results showed that 1) The education variable has a significant effect on employee performance. This means that the better the educationprovided will further improve employee performance.2) The training variable has a significant effect on employee performance. This means that the more training provided, the more employee performance will improve. 3) Education and training variables together have a significant effect on employee performance. This means that the more the

influenceof education and training increases, the more employee performance will increase
