PENGARUH BEBAN KERJA DAN STRES KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PADA PT SEGAR HARUM KALIMANTAN CABANG SAMARINDA

Abstract


This research aims to examine and analyze 1) The effect of workload on employee performance at PT Segar Harum Kalimantan, Samarinda Branch, 2) The effect of job stress on employee performance at PT Segar Harum Kalimantan, Samarinda Branch, and 3) The combined effect of workload and job stress on employee performance at PT Segar Harum Kalimantan, Samarinda Branch.

This study was conducted only at PT Segar Harum Kalimantan, Samarinda Branch. The research method used was quantitative with a descriptive approach. The sample consisted of 41 employees selected through a non-probability sampling method using saturated sampling or census. Data collection techniques involved field research with interviews and distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale to measure each indicator. Data analysis was carried out with multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS version 27 statistical program.

The research findings indicate that 1) Workload has a significant positive effect on employee performance. 2) Job stress has a significant positive effect on employee performance. 3) Workload and job stress together have a significant positive effect on employee performance. These results suggest that although high workload and stress due to supervisor pressure can lead to stress, when well-managed, they can enhance employee motivation and overall performance.
