Abstract


This study is motivated by the role of Financial Performance as an indicator of profitability and adaptation of manufacturingfcompanies in the basic and chemicalfindustriesflisted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2021-2022. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of leverage, company size, and free cash flow ondfinancial performance in the basic and chemical industries of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2022.

The theoretical basis for this study is Financial Accounting. The type of research used is quantitative research from secondary data. The population in this study consists of 76 manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industries, with a sample of 37 companies selected using purposive sampling. The analytical tools used are financial ratios, namely DER, SIZE, FCF, and ROA ratios. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed using SPSS version 26 to determine multiple linear regression analysis.

BasedLon the results obtained, it can be concludedfffthat leverage has a negative and significant effect on financial performance. Company size does not have aisignificant effect on return on financialfperformance. Free cash flow has a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Leverage, Company Size, and Free Cash Flow simultaneously have a significant effect on financial performance.
