MENURUNKAN PARENTAL BURNOUT IBU DENGAN ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH: EFEKTIFKAH PELATIHAN MINDFULNESS SPIRITUAL BERBASIS ISLAM? REDUCING PARENTAL BURNOUT AMONG MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOL CHILDREN: IS ISLAMIC-BASED SPIRITUAL MINDFULNESS TRAINING EFFECTIVE?

Abstract


Abstrak: Ibu yang memiliki anak usia prasekolah terbukti memiliki stres yang lebih tinggi dibanding ibu dengan anak berpendidikan sekolah dasar ke atas. Stres yang terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang panjang dan tidak terselesaikan dapat berkembang menjadi parental burnout. Parental burnout memiliki berbagai dampak yang sangat merugikan bagi ibu, pasangan, dan terutama anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan mindfulness spiritual berbasis Islam untuk menurunkan parental burnout pada ibu yang memiliki anak usia prasekolah. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design with follow up. Penelitian ini melibatkan 14 partisipan yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Pelatihan mindfulness spiritual berbasis Islam yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diformulasikan oleh Isgandarova dan dikembangkan oleh Hertinjung dkk. Parental Burnout Assesment digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat parental burnout. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teknik statistik Mixed Anava. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mindfulness spiritual berbasis Islam terbukti dapat menurunkan tingkat parental burnout pada ibu dengan anak usia prasekolah.

Abstract: Mothers who have preschool-aged children have been shown to have higher stress compared to those with children with elementary school education and above. Stress that occurs prolonged and unresolved can lead to parental burnout that has various very detrimental impacts on mothers, spouses and children. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Islamic-based spiritual mindfulness training to reduce parental burnout in mothers of preschool-aged children. The experimental design used was a pre-test-post-test control group design with follow up. This study included 14 participants who were divided into experimental group and control group. The Islamic-based spiritual mindfulness training used in this research was formulated by Isgandarova and developed by Hertinjung et al. Parental Burnout Assessment meanwhile was used to measure the parental burnout level. The data analysis method used in the research was the Mixed Anava statistical technique. The findings of this research showed that Islamic-based spiritual mindfulness training has been proven to reduce the levels of parental burnout in mothers with preschool-aged children.
