A hedonic lifestyle is a lifestyle that is carried out to seek pleasure in life, such as spending more time outside the home, playing a lot, and always wanting to be the center of attention. The development of the times makes people consume goods and services not because of basic needs but because it is to achieve self-satisfaction, thus causing someone to be wasteful. . This triggers consumer behavior and failure in financial management in the younger generation in managing their personal finances, so that they can regulate and manage the income they earn and their budgeted expenses properly.  This research explores the relationship between financial literacy and a hedonistic lifestyle, focusing on the impact of financial understanding on consumer behavior that tends to be excessive.
